Dilating - Finally!

Mommy and daddy's friends from childbirth class had their baby this week! His mommy and daddy are a lot like yours, because his mom is a Speech Pathologist and his dad has a degree in Marketing! We were so excited to meet them and we hope to have many play dates in the future. He was only one week farther along than you are and now mommy and daddy are getting anxious for you to make your big entrance into the world.

Mommy went to her appointment this week and got a lot of good news! You are still head down and now mommy is dilated, but only a finger tip. Still, that is better than nothing and puts us all one step closer to seeing your adorable face! Also, mommy lost one whole pound this week! How that happened, we may never know, but since you were still healthy, mommy was very excited about it. Your heart rate was 150 bpm this week and you are still so active, even though there is not a lot of room left for you in there. You still like to dance to music, which makes your mommy and daddy very happy.

Your nursery is all finished now and you have a bassinet set up in our room, so you can spend some sleepy time with us. Your doggies, Pistol and Pete are also getting more acquainted with your things too. We hope this means that they will like having you around. Especially since we had to have a long talk with them about the "seniority rule" not applying in this case. As much as we will miss them, they will be sent away if they can't adjust. ;-)
