Wedding Cake, The Sequel.

We started out by defrosting the cake that had been sitting in our freezer for a whole year!


It was wrapped, on the outside, in white duct tape! There was a whole lot of duct tape on the box and it took us a while to get it all off.






After we got all of the duct tape off of the box, there was another layer! Plastic wrap! Finally, we found the box!


Guess what we discovered once we opened the box...? More plastic wrap!







Finally! The cake is free!



We started cutting into the cake, and we were being very cautious! We weren't sure what to expect beneath the surface of the fondant...




We tasted it and the cake STILL tasted good! Thank you to everyone who helped preserve the top of our wedding cake! You did a fantastic job!



The top of the cake was made of chocolate and strawberry flavors! We had forgotten about that fact and it was a neat surprise.
